Very athletic colt by promising young Danehill stallion, Danehill Express. This colt caught the eye of Anthony Freedman and leading agent Damon Gabbedy (Belmont Bloodstock) at the Perth Magic Millions Sale.
He is a product of the magic Danehill-Zabeel cross that has produced the sensational filly Atlantic Jewel, and in reverse produced the international champion Vengeance Of Rain.
This colt's dam, Ladies Dancing (by Zabeel), was trained by Lee Freedman for owner Keith Biggs, who eventually sent her to race in WA, where she won in Perth and finished 4th in the WA St Leger. This is a classic producing pedigree, as Ladies Dancing is a sister to the top stayer Lords A Leaping, who finished second in the G1 Queensland Derby. Under the third dam appears the NZ Derby winner Coniston Bluebird.
However, there is speed in this pedigree, as the 4th dam, Quiet Little Drink, was a brilliant filly over a short course, and won the G3 San Domenico Stakes in Sydney.
This colt was purchased for only $50,000, and he is available for that price plus costs.
The photo is of Ladies Dancing (closest camera) working stylishly at Markdel.

The Freedman brothers took a decision in 2002 to switch from a metropolitan training regime to a unique environment on the Mornington Peninsula - they built the world-class complex known as Markdel
A good line on how Black Caviar stacks up against the sprinting greats of yesteryear can be measured through how insignificant their career records can appear in comparison to the unbeaten mare.
