Freedman Racing is delighted to offer to clients two magnificent colts bought at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sales.
"They are both exceptional, athletic colts, who perfectly fit the style of horse we have had success with for more than 20 years," trainer Anthony Freedman said.
Anthony signed for a "bargain" colt, lot 8, by first-season sire Myboycharlie (IRE), a grandson of Danehill, from the Honour And Glory mare, Glorevega. This colt (pictured) is closely related to the former star filly La Volta.
"At $50,000 I thought he was one of the buys of the sale. He's a very strong colt with great presence - powerful shoulder and rear end - and an athletic walk. He's an early foal from a fast female family, by a stallion who won at G1 level at two in France, and I expect this colt to be up and running early," Anthony said.
"Half of him is sold, so it is a chance for someone to get into a precocious colt at a very reasonable price."

The second colt has a pedigree that is a very interesting mix of speed and stamina. He is lot 397, a colt by Golden Slipper winner Sebring from the G1 Auckland Cup winning mare, Upsetthym. The colt cost $200,000.
"I really liked this colt. He's very athletic, with a great walk, and he looks like he will train on to be a three-year-old. He has a mix of blood that suggests he could show up as a two-year-old, and go on to be a fast stayer. He certainly won't be dour," Anthony summed up.
The Sebring colt also is half sold.

Both colts are available for their purchase price plus cost, including veterinary, transport and insurance.

A good line on how Black Caviar stacks up against the sprinting greats of yesteryear can be measured through how insignificant their career records can appear in comparison to the unbeaten mare.
