Former European Fruehling headlined another banner day for Anthony Freedman with his first-up win at Sportingbet Park Sandown.
Fruehling, purchased by stable clients, including John O’Neill and Dream Thoroughbreds, provided the second leg of a double for Freedman, who last week trained his first city treble.

Anthony Freedman trained his fourth juvenile Stakes winner for the season when Sabie won the Listed Pewsey Vale Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville on Monday.

Lucas Cranach lived up to Lee Freedman's prediction of being a weight-for-age horse when he returned to racing in brilliant style to win the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes (WFA, 1800m) at Caulfield last Saturday.

Smokin' Joey returned to his best form by breaking the 1400-metre track record at Sportingbet Park Sandown on Wednesday.

Promising colt Cheyenne Warrior became Anthony Freedman's fifth Stakes winner of the season when he won the Listed $100,000 Gold Sovereign Stakes (1200m) at Mowbray in Launceston on Wednesday night.
